Allow me to introduce myself.
My name is Sage, I’m 24, and I use whichever pronouns roll off the tongue. I'm a First Nations butch lesbian hairstylist living in Naarm at the beginning of what I can only hope to be a long and shining career!
I’m a lover of hairdressing as a way to care for my community, create living art, and to help my clients to take control over their bodies and the world’s perception of them.
For me, hairdressing is a way of living my gender - butch isn’t just a masculine lesbian, it’s an identity that centres caring for and protecting your community. I believe it is my responsibility to not only give you amazing hair, but to provide a space where the unusual is an asset and the freakish is beloved.
more about me
I’m a junior hair stylist, from Biba Academy.
I completed my hairdressing apprenticeship at Biba Academy of Hair, after training at their Advanced Academy on Brunswick Street. Although I am three years into my career and fairly new, I have extensive experience with hundreds of clients, events, runways, photo-shoots, weddings, and in-salon styling.
As I continue to build my experience, I offer more accessible pricing while delivering a high level of care and attention. I believe everybody deserves great hair!

Hair as a collaborative journey.
Hair is a deeply personal experience. It holds memory, identity, and the potential to completely transform us. That’s why I take the time to understand what you’re feeling, what you’re drawn to, and how you want to show up in the world.
I’ll never turn you away for being unsure. Bring yourself and your vibe and I’ll work with you to create something that’s going to make you shine.
